This short reference explains older links to the Sand Burr Gun Ranch venue and course directory. The present website is an independent practical journal, not a booking service or a claim of affiliation with the former operators.
The earlier venue
The 2009 archived home page described Sand Burr Gun Ranch near Rochester, Indiana, with ranges, a gun shop, gunsmithing and training beside the Tippecanoe River. It named D.O. Reichard as founder and chairman and Ashley Reichard Gibbons as president and general manager. Those are historical descriptions, not verified current roles or services.
Writer Massad Ayoob also discussed the venue and Denny Reichard in his published recollections. Such first-person accounts help explain the older references to Sand Burr; they do not establish present-day opening hours or availability.
The old course directory
The former Overall Courses page, captured in 2013, listed venue courses and visiting instructors. Subjects included introductory handgun education, revolver courses and short-barrel revolver classes described as “snubbie” courses. This is the context behind older links labelled “Snubbie Class”.
The capture date is not the date of every event. The surviving page mixes older notices, including a 2011 instructor course. Historical prices, telephone numbers, equipment lists and registration instructions should not be treated as current offers. This journal does not accept course reservations or payments; verify any present-day provider independently.
The later article library
The site subsequently carried a different collection of practical articles dated 2021. Those six article addresses are preserved in the current guide library, with revised explanations and source links. This reference keeps the earlier venue history separate from those guides.
